End Of Life
On the 1st of February 2003, the End-of-Life Vehicles Regulations came into force.
This means that all vehicles that have come to their end of life will have to go to an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF) to be depolluted before they can be dismantled at a scrap yard or put through a bailer or similar method of disposal. The changes in Legislation will put a stop to vehicles being weighed in at scrap metal sites, without being depolluted first.
